TG sera 10/05/2024 - TRIESTE - The new operating document for the Opicina Tram will be defined at the beginning of June, only later will it be possible to understand whether new work on the line will be needed or not. Today during the IV council commission, an update was made on the restart process of the Opicina Tram || Opicina Tram, restart of the carriages, execution of further miscellaneous and sundry works. Today during the IV commission, an update was made on the situation, at present the working group made up of Ansfisa, Ferrovie dello Stato, Region, Trieste Trasporti and Municipality is completing the drafting of the guidelines for the management of operation and maintenance of the narrow gauge tram lines, i.e. the Tram. Of the 8 or so technical sheets that should make up the document, 4 have arrived, the result of 6 web meetings between the members of the working group and a traction test that moved the carriages in recent weeks. The operating lines will be the Bible of the Tram, where all the essential details for the correct management of the service will be inserted. The request for this document arrived in October 2023 by Ansfisa, after the execution of the works dictated by the regulations in force carried out by the Municipality, concluded, tested and subject to technical inspections. In August of last year, after the end of the works, ANSFISA itself had notified the Municipality that in some points there were no correct conformities of gauge, skew and cant. These are 12 points in which, for a matter of millimetres, the design forecasts of the admissible tolerance with respect to the railway regulations, those used as a reference, were exceeded. It goes without saying that the municipality was ready to intervene, if it were not for the subsequent choice of drafting the specific operating document, now underway. This is why the Municipality has not intervened on these wastes, because there is a possibility that the new regulation will decree that in reality the works carried out fall under the regulations. So, to conclude: at the beginning of June all the technical sheets from the joint working group should arrive, which will say whether the works already carried out will be good or not.
