Numerous construction projects are taking place in the state capital, which also affect the “üstra” trams. A subway was to be built, but this was quickly abandoned due to financial problems. A light rail system with tunnel sections in the city center was created, which has been in operation since 1975. It took ten years to complete the first tunnel section, light rail line A, with four subway stations.
At that time, in addition to the new light rail cars, steel cars, superstructure cars, conversion cars and GT6 vehicles were also seen on the trams every day.
