The first tram line in Florence (Italy) was opened to the public in February 2010. The line connects Santa Maria Novella (central railway station) with Candicci (a suburb of Florence) covering a distance of 7.4 kms and 14 stops. The low-floor Sirio tramcars were manufactured by Ansaldobreda.
