Description

In 1958, a serious tram accident occurred at the Carlsberg Bridge in Copenhagen, which could easily have turned into a major disaster. A line 10 tram derailed, drove through the bridge's railing, and crashed down the railway slope towards the railway ditch. At the same time, the Hamburg Express was on its way to Hovedbanegården at a speed of 80 km. Miraculously, they managed to stop the express, thanks to three healthy state railway workers who resolutely ran to meet the train and gave the driver a stop signal. He therefore got the express train to speed up so that it stopped right at the bridge. Several passengers suffered minor injuries, but it must be considered miraculous that the dramatic accident did not cost human life.

Bent Jensen (October 25, 2021):

Kirsten Gitte Rasmussen (March 30, 2023):

Flagene vejede over hele byen.
