Melbourne's A class tram 245

A new model of which 20 have been produced. The body was built by Comeng and assembled and fitted in the tramways workshop late in 1984. Theseating capacity is 42 but takes a "crash load" of 117 people. Weighing 22.2 tonnes and 15.3 metres in length it is powered by two 195 kw motors. No. 245 entered service on 4th March 1985.
